Cloud Number 9

Keine Wolken in Sicht!

No clouds in my sight! Tomorrow they say we should have 27 degrees. Summer in March? No problem, in case the heat arrives to early I am all prepared: With felt rests I made myself my own personal cloud! Not only does it make the wall behind my desk more cheerful, but it´s an additional motiviation to look up to my "German-study-posters" for my distance German course! What motivates you to study (seriously there...I could need some tipps!)?

Eins, zwei, drei...DIY!

If you have five minutes and an old T-shirt I can really recommend this DIY. You can find the step-by-step instructions on how to make it here. What I find especially nice about this necklace or scarf is that there are maybe a hundred varieties on how to style it: Make knots, braid it, add wooden pearls, twist it...I have to search for more T-shirt to try everything out :D! Have fun!

No, the washi tape crazyness (as already shown here, here and here) hasn´t finished yet. There are still some free spots that want to be covered with nice garlands in neon colours. There´s only one thing that can help: "Breathe!" In this spirit I would like to wish you all a very happy weekend!

Croco loco

Tatarataaaaa...I am revealing my Christmas gift I talked about before in this post. It´s a croco loco!

What do you think? I made it for my mum, and I am really happy and proud of the result. Although there are some tricky parts in it and you have to do a lot of counting, let me tell you, that this can be a nice project for a beginner with a little practice! Yes, you heard right! It´s just made out of right stitches (I am not sure if it is called like that..what I mean is the simplest form of knitting stitches). I had seen the scarf on a Pinterest board on the internet and started looking for patterns. Because one thing is true: Without a pattern I wouldn´t have managed. Maybe an experienced knitter could! Anyway, I found the pattern for this scarf on the website of Morehouse Merino, where you can also purchase wool, books about knitting and a big variety of other funny patterns. I am planning in soon doing the croco in a green version for me, but first my fingers have to rest a little.

Keep on knitting everyone and have a good day!

Knit mania

Since I started with my first steps of knitting about a year ago, I am instoppable! This activity is highly addictive! So far I have come up mainly with flat pieces like simple scarfs, I am still an absolute beginner! But I have to confess that I love trying out new things like my black tube scarf (which I started because of ordering this adorable little broche from Studio meez, a designer/blogger from Belgium), the gloves, the knit pearl, or...my Christmas special. The latter one is a gift so I can´t show it yet. It´s still a secret, but it´s so cool! O, and what do you think about the furry feet I made? Aren´t they the cutest?

Keep on knitting everyone and have a good day!

Rockin´ DIY

Late again. I am sorry. Some troubles here kept me from posting :( Just didn´t feel much like sharing happy news (apart from the fact that there aren´t real news). Anyway, today I would like to show you some of my latest DIYs. I have always liked doing crafts and creative things. Actually, before I started working, I used to be pretty active, especially when it came to Christmas and Birthday presents. New is the fact, that I start to get a little addicted to crocheting and knitting. You have to know, that I am so talent free when it comes to these two things. But it seems like I start to get turned into a little Martha Stewart :) So here comes my peep into my latest november DIYs.

Cinnamon rolls, my first try

Improvised "Adeventkranz". You light a candle every sunday before Christmas.

My foxscarf. I did it!!!! Ok, ok, I copied this idea from here. This lady defenitely knows about crocheting. Still I am proud to have managed.

Have a lovely week everybody :)
